WKU To Honor High School
Scholars

Bowling Green, Ky. - Western Kentucky University and South Central Bank of Glasgow on Wednesday will honor 22 seniors from Barren County, Caverna, Glasgow, Metcalfe County and Monroe County high schools for their academic achievements.

The annual High School Scholars Luncheon will begin at 11:30 a.m. at the Lera B. Mitchell Clubhouse. This is the first of four luncheons honoring students who qualify for at least a renewable full-tuition scholarship to Western.

On Jan. 15, students from Allen County-Scottsville, Butler County, Edmonson County, Franklin-Simpson, Logan County and Russellville high schools will be honored. That luncheon begins at 11:30 a.m. at the Carroll Knicely Institute for Economic Development at the WKU South Campus.

On Jan. 20, students from Bowling Green, Greenwood, Warren Central and Warren East high schools will be honored. That luncheon begins at 11:30 a.m. at the Knicely Institute.

On Jan. 29, students from Apollo, Daviess County, Hancock County, Henderson County, McLean County, Muhlenberg North, Muhlenberg South, Ohio County, Owensboro Catholic, Owensboro Senior and Whitesville Trinity high schools will be honored. That luncheon will begin at 11:30 a.m. at the Executive Inn in Owensboro.
