Two WKU Faculty Members Awarded Eric Daniel Conte, an associate professor of chemistry, will conduct research on "Electromodulation on Cinder and Clay Modified Stationary Phases" at National Chung-Hsing University in Taichung, Taiwan. Conte will be in Taiwan from January to May. Charles J. Bussey, who retired as a full-time history professor in June, has been in Norway since August and is lecturing on American Studies at Agder University College in Kristiansand. Bussey will complete his project in June. Semra Feriha Ascigil, a business administration instructor at Middle East Technical University in Ankara, Turkey, has been visiting Western's Gordon Ford College of Business since August. Ascigil is conducting research on organizational justice and employee behavior through February. The Fulbright Program, America's flagship international educational exchange activity, was established in 1946 under legislation introduced by the late Sen. William J. Fulbright of Arkansas.
