Forensic Team First In Debate,
Third Overall In Tourney

Bowling Green, Ky. - Members of Western Kentucky University's forensic team placed first in debate sweepstakes, third in overall sweepstakes and fifth in individual events sweepstakes at the Air Force Academy Invitational Speech and Debate Tournament.

Individual results from the Jan. 16-18 tournament in Colorado Springs, Colo., are as follows:

Stacy Bernaugh, a senior from Seaside, Calif., poetry interpretation champion, third in informative speaking, third in parliamentary debate speaker awards, semifinalist in Lincoln-Douglas debate, semifinalist in parliamentary debate (with Jennifer Purcell).

Jenny Corum, an Auburn junior, third in impromptu speaking, fourth in dramatic interpretation, quarterfinalist in Lincoln-Douglas debate, double-octofinalist in parliamentary debate (with Joelle Perry).

Jennifer Purcell, a junior from Lewisville, Texas, second in Lincoln-Douglas debate, sixth in parliamentary debate speaker awards, semifinalist in parliamentary debate (with Stacey Bernaugh).

Alex Rogers, a junior from Leawood, Kan., fourth in persuasive speaking, fifth in informative speaking, quarterfinalist in Lincoln-Douglas debate.

Jordon Wadlington, an Eddyville sophomore, sixth in communication analysis, sixth in persuasive speaking.

Nicole Hawk, an Upton sophomore, fourth in impromptu speaking, double-octofinalist in parliamentary debate (with Hannah Reliford).

Joelle Perry, a Florence freshman, fifth in communication analysis, double-octofinalist in parliamentary debate (with Jenny Corum).

Emily Gibson, a Hodgenville freshman, fourth in communication analysis.

Chris Hagins, a senior from Summerfield, Fla., semifinalist in impromptu speaking, double-octofinalist in parliamentary debate (with Eric Rogers).

Eric Rogers, a Cave City senior, semifinalist in impromptu speaking, double-octofinalist in parliamentary debate (with Chris Hagins).

Hannah Reliford, a Georgetown junior, quarterfinalist in Lincoln-Douglas debate, double-octofinalist in parliamentary debate (with Nicole Hawk).

Justin Cress, a Florence sophomore, semifinalist in impromptu speaking.
