Students Receive Scholarships

Bowling Green, Ky. - Four students in the Western Kentucky University Agriculture Department's golf and turf management major recently received scholarship awards.
The Kentuckiana Golf Course Superintendents of America Association awarded scholarships to Brett Lafferty, a junior from New Liberty, $1,500; Nathan Lind, a junior from Elizabeth, Ind., $1,000; and John Wall, a Bowling Green senior, $500.
The Kentucky Turfgrass Council awarded a $1,500 Dwight Barkley Scholarship to Dylan Stafford, a Bowling Green senior.
Stafford also received an internship from the United States Golf Association. Stafford, who competed against students from Kentucky, Ohio, Indiana, Michigan, Wisconsin and Minnesota, is the only student from the North Central region of the United States to receive this honor.
