Boone County Places First In
State Drama Festival At WKU

Bowling Green, Ky. - Boone County High School placed first in the 2004 State Drama Festival at Western Kentucky University.

Bardstown High School was second and John Hardin High School was third in the Dec. 14 competition. Eight schools competed in the event sponsored by the Kentucky High School Speech League, Inc.

Meghan McGinnis of Bardstown High School and Melissa Cavner of Boone County High School were selected as the two Top Actors.

The following students were recognized as All-Star Cast Members: Lauren Smith of Bardstown High School; Spencer Greenhalgh and Ali Robbins, both of Boone County High School; Annie Bond of Hopkinsville High School; Chris Bell, Morgan Cheatham, and Nicole Cabrera, all of John Hardin High School; Jennifer Smith of Warren East High School.
