WKU To Offer SHRM Certification August 12, 2004 This course, directed toward staff and managers with experience in general management or human resource management, will be held Sept. 7 through Nov. 16 at Western Kentucky University's Knicely Conference Center on Nashville Road. The SHRM® Learning System Course prepares HR Directors for the Professional in Human Resources (PHR) and Senior Professional in Human Resources (SPHR) certification exams administered by the Human Resource Management Certification Institute (HRCI). The fee for the course is $895 and includes all required readings and workbooks, mastery tests and the final. The course fee does not include the HRCI exam fee. Registration deadline is Aug. 23. Module topics include Strategic Management, Workforce Planning and Employment, HR Development, Compensation and Benefits, Employee and Labor Relations, and Occupational Health, Safety and Security.
