WKU Launches Statewide Advertising Campaign

Bowling Green, Ky. - Western Kentucky University has launched a statewide television advertising campaign that focuses on creating a broader positive perception and image awareness throughout the Commonwealth.

The three 30-second spots, titled "The Face of Western," "The Hands of Western" and "The Spirit of Western," will be shown in the Bowling Green, Lexington, Louisville and Northern Kentucky markets.

"The concept of the spots is to illustrate the various members that make up the Western family, show the types of hands-on education opportunities we offer, and demonstrate the unique spirit of Western," said Bob Edwards, assistant vice president for University Relations.

"The University has made a significant, long-term commitment to 'telling the story' of Western Kentucky University to audiences throughout the state that maybe aren't familiar with all the great things happening here," he said.

WKU faculty and staff viewed the ads during Tuesday's opening convocation.
