WKU Student Accepted In
Mayo Clinic College Of Medicine

Bowling Green, Ky. - For the second year in a row, a Western Kentucky University student has been accepted at one of America's elite colleges of medicine.

Benjamin J. Sandefur, a senior chemistry major and biology minor from Calhoun, will attend the Mayo Clinic College of Medicine in Rochester, Minn., this fall.

The Mayo Clinic College of Medicine is a private national medical school that accepts just 36 students each year from more than 2,400 applicants. Mayo is consistently ranked as one of the top schools in America and its clinics are famous around the world.

John M. Kitsteiner, a biology major and writing minor from Fort Lauderdale, Fla., was accepted into the program last year. He was a 2003 honor graduate at WKU.
