Bowling Green, Ky. - The Block and Bridle Club in Western Kentucky University's Department of Agriculture captured first place in the Activities Scrapbook contest at the recent San Antonio national convention.

The Block and Bridle Club is made up of students with a primary interest in animal science or related area of agriculture.

Fran Kortus, scrapbook chairman, said the numerous activities of the group during the year provide many opportunities to expand the contents of the scrapbook and put it in competition for the national award.

The club's activities include providing grilled pork chops for group meetings at the L.D. Brown Agricultural Exposition Center, holding the annual Little North American Livestock Show, participating in community service activities and helping recruit students.
