19 Students Compete For 2003
Homecoming Queen At WKU

Bowling Green, Ky. - Nineteen Western Kentucky University students are competing to become the 2003 Homecoming queen.
The winner will be crowned during halftime of Saturday's Homecoming football game against Southern Illinois. The game begins at 4 p.m. at L.T. Smith Stadium.
Ten finalists will be announced Friday night at Big Red's Roar.
This year's queen candidates include:
Tracey Anderkin, a senior meteorology/broadcasting major from Berea. She is the daughter of Sue and Tom Bechtel and is sponsored by Resident Staff Association.
Sheri Anderson, a senior financial planning major from Glasgow. She is the daughter of Pamela and Joe Garst and Mark and Belinda Anderson and is sponsored by Delta Sigma Pi.
Erin M. Brown, a senior agriculture major from Noblesville, Ind. She is the daughter of Stephen and Diana Brown and is sponsored by Block and Bridle Club.
Megan Burch, a senior advertising and French major from Prospect. She is the daughter of Jim and Pat Burch and is sponsored by Kappa Sigma and Sigma Kappa.
Ann Carman, a junior communications major from Dayton, Ohio. She is the daughter of Janice and Larry Stevens and Bob Carman and is sponsored by Alpha Gamma Delta and HOSA.
Paola Cassana, a senior health care administration major from Cajamarca, Peru. She is the daughter of Luz Nunez and Willy Cassana and is sponsored by International Students Club.
Alecea Renee Davis, a senior biology major from Bowling Green. She is the daughter of Mark and Kim Davis and is sponsored by Kappa Delta and Lambda Chi Alpha.
Candice W. Johnson, a senior public relations and communications studies major from Louisville. She is the daughter of Lonnie and Azalene Johnson and is sponsored by National Pan-Hellenic Council.
Sylvia Marie Johnson, a senior broadcasting major from Louisville. She is the daughter of Anne Marie and Walter D. Johnson and is sponsored by Spirit Masters.
Jessica Trent Jolly, a senior psychology and communications studies major from Bowling Green. She is the daughter of Joe and Reta Jolly and is sponsored by Alpha Delta Pi and Pi Kappa Alpha.
Abby Lovan, a junior corporate and organizational communication major from Jeffersonville, Ind. She is the daughter of Rick and Linda Lovan and is sponsored by Alpha Omicron Pi and Sigma Chi.
Amber Mayfield, a junior corporate and organizational communication major from Owensboro. She is the daughter of Robin G. Bradbury and is sponsored by Student Alumni Association.
Kristen Meadows, a junior physical education major from Crestwood. She is the daughter of Larry and Wanda Meadows and is sponsored by ROTC.
Brittney Perkins, a sophomore radiology major from Glasgow. She is the daughter of Donnie and Carolyn Perkins and is sponsored by WKU-Glasgow campus.
Maryem Raissian, a senior religious studies major from Brentwood, Tenn. She is the daughter of Parry and John Raissian and is sponsored by Baptist Student Union.
Jennifer Rakestraw, a senior computer information systems major from Slaughters. She is the daughter of Powell and Marsha Rakestraw and is sponsored by Phi Mu and Delta Tau Delta.
Rebecca Saindon, a junior elementary education major from Antioch, Tenn. She is the daughter of Phillip and Bonnie Saindon and is sponsored by Omega Phi Alpha.
Amy Stuecker, a sophomore agriculture major from Elizabethtown. She is the daughter of Paul and Belinda Stuecker and is sponsored by Ceres Women's Fraternity.
Jennifer Wheeler, a senior nursing major from Bardstown. She is the daughter of Margaret and Frankie Wheeler and is sponsored by Chi Omega and Phi Delta Theta.
