WKU Holding Fire Prevention
Activities Oct. 27-28

Bowling Green, Ky. - Western Kentucky University students, faculty, staff and visitors will have a chance to experience what it is like to be in a smoke-filled house during fire prevention activities Oct. 27-28.
Western's Environmental Health and Safety Department, in cooperation with the Bowling Green Fire Department, will have a smoke room set up in Minton Hall. Firefighters will lead tours through the non-toxic smoke and also demonstrate a thermal-imaging camera.
In addition, information and demonstrations will be available in tents outside of Downing University Center. EHS staff will also serve soft drinks and popcorn.
Fire prevention activities will be 10 a.m.-4:30 p.m. on Oct. 27 and 10 a.m.-2 p.m. on Oct. 28.
