Partial Power Restored; Night
Classes On At WKU

November 11, 2003

Bowling Green, Ky. - Partial electrical power has been restored to several buildings at Western Kentucky University, allowing night classes to be held as scheduled.

Crews are still working on the cause of an outage that left several buildings in the dark beginning about 1:20 a.m. Day classes in Cherry and Gordon Wilson halls were canceled. Beginning at 5 p.m., however, night classes will be held as scheduled, according to Potter College Dean David Lee.

Until full power is restored, occupants in Cherry, Gordon Wilson, Van Meter and Potter halls, Garrett Conference Center and Helm Library have been asked to restrict electrical use to essential functions. Space heaters, coffee pots and other appliances as well as non-essential lighting should not be used.
