WKU Forensic Team Competes November 12, 2003 The members of the William E. Bivin Forensic Society competed in Lincoln-Douglas Debate and impromptu speaking, but still placed fifth in overall sweepstakes. Team members will compete at Berea, Ky., and Athens, Ohio, this weekend. The following students placed in the final rounds of the St. Anselm tournament: Joelle Perry, a Florence freshman, co-champion in Lincoln-Douglas Debate, fifth in Lincoln-Douglas Speaker Awards. Jennifer Purcell, a junior from Lewisville, Texas, co-champion in Lincoln-Douglas Debate, second in Lincoln-Douglas Speaker Awards, sixth in impromptu speaking. Chris Hagins, a senior from Summerfield, Fla., impromptu speaking champion. Alex Rogers, a junior from Leawood, Kan., semifinalist in Lincoln-Douglas Debate. Jenny Corum, an Auburn junior, quarterfinalist in Lincoln-Douglas Debate, first in Lincoln-Douglas Speaker Awards, fifth in impromptu speaking. Nicole Hawk, an Upton sophomore, quarterfinalist in Lincoln-Douglas Debate, sixth in Lincoln-Douglas Speaker Awards.
