WKU Forensic Team Competes November 03, 2003 At the first tournament WKU's William E. Bivin Forensic Society placed first ahead of Indiana University and Butler. On the second day, WKU placed second behind Ball State and ahead of Indiana. Team members will travel to Manchester, N.H., this weekend to compete at the St. Anselm Invitational. Individual results from the Indianapolis Swing are as follows: Ryan Howell, a sophomore from Plymouth, Ind., duo interpretation champion (with Lindsey Nave), second in programmed oral interpretation, second in prose interpretation at the Indianapolis tournament; second in duo interpretation, second in programmed oral interpretation, third in prose interpretation at the Butler tournament. Chris Blackford, a sophomore from Evansville, Ind., prose interpretation champion, third in dramatic interpretation, third in poetry interpretation at the Indianapolis tournament; second in dramatic interpretation, sixth in prose interpretation at the Butler tournament. Melissa Messer, a San Antonio freshman, programmed oral interpretation champion, third in informative speaking, third in persuasive speaking at the Indianapolis tournament; second in informative speaking, third in persuasive speaking, third in programmed oral interpretation at the Butler tournament.
