Bowling Green, Ky. - The Super Saturdays program is coming to Owensboro.

Starting this fall, The Center for Gifted Studies at Western Kentucky University will bring the enrichment program to children in Daviess and surrounding counties.

Owensboro Super Saturdays will be held Oct. 18, Oct. 25, Nov. 1, Nov. 8 and Nov. 15 at Owensboro Community and Technical College. The Owensboro program is a partnership between The Center for Gifted Studies, the WKU-Owensboro campus and Owensboro Community and Technical College.

The Owensboro site will provide an additional opportunity to meet the needs of first- through sixth-graders in the area.

Since 1992, more than 8,600 high-ability children have experienced hands-on, minds-on challenge through the Super Saturdays program at WKU. In 2002, the Center for Gifted Studies added a Fall Super Saturdays program. (This year's Fall Super Saturdays on the WKU campus is scheduled for Oct. 25-Nov. 22.)
