Winners Named In WKU
Public Radio Poetry Contest

Bowling Green, Ky. - Students from Cave City and Faubush are the winners of the seventh annual Classical Music Poetry Contest sponsored by the Public Radio Service of Western Kentucky University and the law firm of Harned, Bachert and Denton.

Whitney Taylor of Cave City won the seventh and eighth grade division. She is a student at Glasgow Middle School. Brandon Tucker of Monticello, a student at A.J. Lloyd Middle School, finished second.

Timothy McFeeters of Faubush won the division for grades nine-12. He is a student at Kings Way Home School. Jaclyn Fenton of New Haven, a student at LaRue County High School, finished second.

Taylor and McFeeters received $200 savings bonds and Tucker and Fenton received $100 savings bonds. Winning poems will be broadcast on Western's Public Radio and published in the monthly program guide Choice.

Western's Public Radio Service includes WKYU-FM Bowling Green, WDCL-FM Somerset, WKPB-FM Henderson/Owensboro and WKUE-FM Elizabethtown.
