WKU Wind Ensemble To Tour

Bowling Green, Ky. - The Western Kentucky University Wind Ensemble will tour Middle Tennessee and Northern Alabama March 13-14 for a concert and series of school performances.
The ensemble will be in concert 7 p.m. March 13 at First Baptist Church in Huntsville, Ala. On the way, they will be stopping for school performances at John Overton High School in Nashville at 8:45 a.m. and Oakland High School in Murfreesboro, Tenn., at 11:15 a.m.
On the return trip March 14, the group will perform at Hendersonville High School in Hendersonville, Tenn., at 11:30 a.m. and Beech High School in Hendersonville at 1:40 p.m.
The 64-member group will feature two faculty members as soloists: Heidi Pinter on flute and John Cipolla on clarinet. Brandon Jones, who recently finished second in the world at the International Tuba and Euphonium Conference, will be featured as a special artist on euphonium.
