WKU Student Attends
International Livestock Congress

Bowling Green, Ky. - Margaret Zoglmann of Daviess County, a graduate student at Western Kentucky University, recently attended the International Livestock Congress in Houston.

Zoglmann, the daughter of Wayne and Susan Zoglmann, attended the Feb. 24-28 event through the International Stockmen's Educational Foundation Travel Fellowship.

She is a 1997 graduate of Owensboro Catholic High School and received her bachelor's degree in agriculture in 2001 from WKU.

Twenty-five students from 11 states and Australia, Bolivia, Canada, Costa Rica, Ireland, Namibia, Paraguay and Uruguay participated in the conference. Zoglmann was the only student from Kentucky to attend.

The International Stockmen's Educational Foundation Travel Fellowship is supported by the Bob and Vivian Smith Foundation. Students were selected based on scholastic achievement, leadership experience and letters of recommendation.

During the congress, students met livestock industry leaders and discussed beef industry issues.
