WKU Student Receives Advertising Award

Bowling Green, Ky. - A Western Kentucky University student was honored recently in a competition sponsored by the Nashville Advertising Federation.

Maggie Jo Hilliard Scott, a Bowling Green senior, received a Silver S.T.A.R. Award on March 4. The Student Talent Advertising Recognition awards were presented at Bohan Advertising in Nashville.

Scott, a graduate of Greenwood High School, has a double major in print journalism and advertising and a minor in government. She will graduate in May and plans to enter law school or open her own advertising business.

She is a member of Gamma Beta Phi Honor Society, Golden Key Honor Society, and AdFed (Advertising Federation).
