WKU Forensic Team Competes
In Ohio Tournaments

Bowling Green, Ky. - Eighteen members of Western Kentucky University's forensic team traveled to Ohio on March 1-2 to compete at the Muskingum College Invitational Tournament and the Ohio State University Invitational Tournament.
Neither tournament presented awards for team sweepstakes.
Individual results are as follows:
Caleb Williams, a sophomore from Lewisville, Texas, impromptu speaking champion, second in persuasive speaking at Muskingum.
Courtney Wright, a freshman from Evansville, Ind., poetry interpretation champion, third in after-dinner speaking at Muskingum; fifth in prose interpretation at Ohio State.
Adam Henze, a sophomore from Evansville, Ind., second in rhetorical criticism, sixth in after-dinner speaking at Muskingum; third in dramatic interpretation at Ohio State.
Corey Alderdice, a Water Valley junior, third in impromptu speaking, sixth in informative speaking at Muskingum.
Evelio Silvera, a junior from Fort Myers, Fla., rhetorical criticism champion at Muskingum; fifth in rhetorical criticism at Ohio State.
Chris Blackford, a freshman from Evansville, Ind., second in prose interpretation at Muskingum.
Tony Damico, a Phoenix junior, fourth in duo interpretation (with Lindsey Nave) at Muskingum; fourth in duo interpretation (with Nave) at Ohio State.
Lindsey Nave, a junior from Harrisburg, Ill., fourth in duo interpretation (with Tony Damico) at Muskingum; third in duo interpretation (with Ryan Howell), fourth in duo interpretation (with Damico) at Ohio State.
Ryan Howell, a freshman from Plymouth, Ind., fifth in after-dinner speaking at Muskingum; programmed oral interpretation champion, third in duo interpretation (with Lindsey Nave), fifth in after-dinner speaking at Ohio State.
Courtney Smith, a junior from Downers Grove, Ill., fifth in persuasive speaking at Muskingum.
Jeff Woods, a Florence sophomore, fifth in rhetorical criticism at Muskingum; second in rhetorical criticism at Ohio State.
David Burns, a sophomore from Dayton, Ohio, second in informative speaking at Ohio State.
Ashley Courtney, a Mayfield freshman, third in programmed oral interpretation at Ohio State.
Joel Smith, a Murray sophomore, fourth in informative speaking at Ohio State.
