Band Begins 10th Season

Bowling Green, Ky. - The Southern Kentucky Concert Band's Twilight Concert Series begins its 10th season today.
The band, open to all adults who play band instruments, will perform from 7 p.m. to 8 p.m. Thursdays at Basil Griffin Park Amphitheater. The eight-week season concludes July 24. The group will rehearse from 7 p.m. to 9 p.m. Tuesdays at Western Kentucky University's band rehearsal hall.
The season opens with More Blockbusters of Stage and Screen. Admission to the Twilight Concert Series is free.
The series schedule is Oldies but Goodies on June 12; a visit by composer James Barnes from the University of Kansas on June 19; the annual John Philip Sousa spectacular on June 26; With Liberty and Justice for All on July 3; Holiday Vacations on July 10; A Night at the Opera on July 17; and a performance by the Lost River Cave Big Band on July 24.
