Ky. National Board Certified
Teachers To Be Honored

Bowling Green, Ky. - Western Kentucky University, the Kentucky Education Association and the Education Professional Standards Board will honor more than 50 Kentucky teachers who were nationally certified during the 2002 school year.

"A Day of Celebration" will honor 58 new Kentucky National Board Certified Teachers on Thursday (July 24) at the Carroll Knicely Conference Center at WKU's South Campus. The teachers will receive their National Board for Professional Teaching Standards pins, which are provided by KEA. The NBCT meeting begins at 10 a.m. with the luncheon beginning at noon.

Judy Wolpe, manager for state and local outreach for NBPTS, will be the keynote speaker. Other special guests include state Sen. Brett Guthrie and Frances Steenbergen, KEA president.
