High School Seniors

Bowling Green, Ky. - Western Kentucky University on Thursday honored 31 high school seniors from five area counties for their high academic achievement.
Students from Allen County-Scottsville, Butler County, Edmonson County, Franklin-Simpson, Logan County and Russellville high schools were honored during the annual High School Scholars Luncheon. All of the students qualify for at least a renewable full-tuition scholarship to WKU.
The group included 19 Governor's Scholars and had an average grade-point average of 3.91 and an average ACT score of 28.06. The average in Kentucky is less than 21.
Students honored included:
From Allen County-Scottsville High School: Brittany Carter, Randi Dossey, Eric Fisher, Patrick Grizzard, Nathan Landrum and Heather Spencer.
From Butler County High School: Henry Cardwell, Ashley Dockery, Elizabeth Minton, Brittany Phelps and Michael Staub.
From Edmonson County High School: Rachel Cook, Jennifer Jordan, Katrina Long, Jonathan Stice and Amber Wolfe.
From Franklin-Simpson High School: Stephanie Allison, Sherese Bailey, Noah Kapley, Andrew Mellott, Marielle Moffitt, Drew Rash, Todd Towe and Tristan Zoerb.
From Logan County High School: Seth Barnett, Lana Costellow, Adam Graham and Benjamin Rogers.
From Russellville High School: Carly Baker, Jennie Fyhr and Kristin Sindorf.
