WKU To Begin High School
Scholars Luncheons Tuesday

Bowling Green, Ky. - Western Kentucky University will be honoring area high-achieving high school seniors with a series of luncheons and presentations.
The first of four luncheons will begin at 11:30 a.m. Tuesday at the Lera B. Mitchell Center in Glasgow. Twenty-nine students from Glasgow, Barren County, Monroe County, Metcalfe County and Caverna high schools will be honored during a luncheon sponsored by South Central Bank.
The second luncheon, sponsored by National City Bank, will honor students from Bowling Green, Greenwood, Warren Central and Warren East high schools. It will begin at 11:30 a.m. Jan. 14 at the Knicely Institute for Economic Development at the WKU South Campus.
Students from Allen County-Scottsville, Butler County, Edmonson County, Logan County, Russellville and Franklin-Simpson high schools will be honored at 11:30 a.m. Jan. 16. That luncheon will also be at the Knicely Institute.
On Jan. 22, students from Owensboro, Owensboro Catholic, Apollo, Daviess County, Hancock County, Henderson County, McLean County, Muhlenberg North, Muhlenberg South and Whitesville Trinity high schools will be honored. That luncheon will begin at 11:30 a.m. at the Executive Inn in Owensboro.
