WKU Forensic Team Wins December 09, 2003 The William E. Bivin Forensic Society won both portions in the debate tournament, finished fourth in sweepstakes in both portions and finished third in combined sweepstakes. Individual results from the Dec. 5-7 event are as follows: Joelle Perry, a Florence freshman, Lincoln-Douglas debate champion and extemporaneous speaking champion in Ohio State portion; extemporaneous speaking champion in Otterbein portion. Jennifer Purcell, a junior from Lewisville, Texas, Lincoln-Douglas debate champion in Otterbein portion, fifth in extemporaneous speaking, in Otterbein portion. Justin Cress, a Florence sophomore, impromptu speaking champion, second in extemporaneous speaking, third-place speaker in debate in Ohio State portion; third in extemporaneous speaking in Otterbein portion. Alex Rogers, a junior from Leawood, Kan., second-place speaker in debate in Ohio State portion; third-place speaker and quarterfinalist in debate in Otterbein portion. Chris Hagins, a senior from Summerfield, Fla., second in impromptu speaking in Ohio State portion. Nicole Hawk, an Upton sophomore, fourth in impromptu speaking in Ohio State portion; second in extemporaneous speaking, third in impromptu speaking in Otterbein portion. Jennifer Corum, an Auburn junior, third in duo interpretation in Ohio State portion; quarterfinalist in debate in Otterbein portion. Jordon Wadlington, an Eddyville sophomore, third in persuasive speaking, sixth in rhetorical criticism in Otterbein portion.
