Two WKU Fraternities August 19, 2003 The Kentucky Eta chapter of Phi Delta Theta won the Founders Trophy from the Phi Delta Theta International Fraternity. The Founders Trophy, one of the fraternity's three highest awards, is presented for excellence in chapter operations, campus involvement, community service and leadership. The WKU chapter also won the award in 2000 and was honorable mention in 2002. The Zeta Mu chapter of Sigma Chi won the Peterson Significant Chapter Award from the Sigma Chi International Fraternity. The award, created in 1963 and named for Past Grand Consul J. Dwight Peterson of Indiana, is the highest honor presented to an undergraduate chapter and recognizes chapters for meeting or surpassing award criteria in all areas of chapter operations.
