Information In Reported Rape
August 28, 2003
Bowling Green, Ky. - Western Kentucky University Police have released more details as they continue to investigate a reported rape on campus.
A resident assistant called police early Sunday morning to report that a female student may have been raped. After police interviewed the student, she was taken to the Medical Center at Bowling Green for examination.
WKU Police Chief Bob Deane said a male student was questioned in the case, then arrested for alcohol intoxication. He has not been charged in connection with the reported rape. Both students are residents of Barnes-Campbell Hall, a co-ed residence hall, and the investigation revealed that the two were acquainted.
A report will be filed with the Commonwealth's Attorney once the investigation is complete, Deane said.
