WKU Sets Record Spring
Enrollment At 16,827

Bowling Green, Ky. - Western Kentucky University has set another enrollment record with 16,827 students registered for the spring 2003 semester.

That's an increase of 1,017 over spring 2002, according to Registrar Freida Eggleton. The increase also reflects the all-time enrollment record of 17,818 set in fall 2002, she said, adding that numbers are up in essentially all areas.

Western is the fastest-growing university in Kentucky with enrollment up more than 20 percent since 1997.
