Announce 2003 Officers

Bowling Green, Ky. - The governing bodies for Greek-letter organizations at Western Kentucky University have announced their officers for 2003.
Officers for the National Pan-Hellenic Council, the administrative and governing body for historically black organizations, are: April White, president, an Alpha Kappa Alpha member from Hopkinsville; Kyle Hightower, vice president, an Alpha Phi Alpha member from Paducah; Tameka Miles, secretary, an Alpha Kappa Alpha member from Louisville; Renee Merriwether, treasurer, an Alpha Kappa Alpha member from Evansville, Ind.; Ricky Murphy, public relations, a Phi Beta Sigma member from Mayfield; Andrew Glover, parliamentarian, an Omega Psi Phi member from Louisville; Adrianne Braxton, an Alpha Kappa Alpha member from Louisville; Zachary Mills, chaplain, an Alpha Phi Alpha member from Murfreesboro, Tenn.
Officers for the Panhellenic Association, the sorority system's governing body, are: Jennifer Brumley, president, a Sigma Kappa member from Franklin, Tenn.; Brooke Marshall, first vice president, an Alpha Omicron Pi member from Marion; Alecea Davis, second vice president, a Kappa Delta member from Bowling Green; Amanda Brawner, secretary, a Ceres member from Scottsville; Melissa Selvage, treasurer, a Chi Omega member from Carlisle; Kelly Butler, rush chairman, a Chi Omega member from Louisville; Christy Beck, rush counselor director, a Kappa Delta member from Fort Mitchell; Hunter Williams, rush book director, a Phi Mu member from Georgetown; Christy Heath, public relations, a Phi Mu member from Paducah; Jaclyn Graves, activities director, a Kappa Delta member from Mayfield; Megan Parker, scholarship director, an Alpha Delta Pi from London; Megan Burch, Greek Vine editor, a Sigma Kappa member from Crestwood; Katie Nelson, historian, an Alpha Delta Pi member from Madisonville.
Officers for the Interfraternity Council, the fraternity system's governing body, are: Clayton Norris, president, a Sigma Phi Epsilon member from Louisville; Tyson Adams, vice president, a Sigma Chi member from Bowling Green; Joe Willis, treasurer, a Pi Kappa Alpha member from Columbia; B.W. Davis, secretary, a Sigma Alpha Epsilon member from Crossville, Tenn.; Kenny Lockhart, membership director, a Lambda Chi Alpha member from Bowling Green; John Tower, academic director, a FarmHouse member from Memphis, Tenn.; Taylor LaGrange, public relations, a Sigma Nu member from Brentwood, Tenn.; John Allen, activities director, a Phi Delta Theta member from Louisville.
Western's Interfraternity Council also received the Fraternal Excellence Award from the Southeastern Interfraternity Conference on Feb. 22 in Atlanta. Western's IFC, one of 12 honored in the Southeast, has received the award for 13 of the past 14 years.
The award is presented based on areas of excellence including chapter services, judicial processes, legal concerns, philanthropy and community service, publications, public relations, scholarship and academic achievement, and social programming.
