WKU Student Receives Phi Kappa Phi
Study Abroad Scholarship

Bowling Green, Ky. - Western Kentucky University student Meghan Bishop has received one of 20 national Phi Kappa Phi Study Abroad $1,000 scholarships for 2003.

Bishop, a junior from Biglerville, Pa., will study in England this summer as part of Dr. Patricia Minter's History of English Law offered in London.

Bishop, the daughter of Craig and Natalie Bishop, is a history major, specializing in English history, and music minor. After graduation in May 2004, she plans to earn a master's degree in history, work and conduct research at a living history museum and write historical fiction and non-fiction.

Phi Kappa Phi is a 104-year-old organization whose mission is "to recognize and promote academic excellence in all fields of higher education and to engage the community of scholars in service to others." Annually, Phi Kappa Phi awards more than $500,000 in awards and scholarships to its members.
