Parents Events Scheduled
Bowling Green, Ky. - Parents, prospective students and alumni will make their way to Western Kentucky University Sept. 20-22 for three special events Parents Weekend, Focus on Western and Golden Anniversary Club.
Golden Anniversary Club: Members of the class of 1952 will return to campus for a 50-year reunion. Friday's activities include registration, 2-5 p.m., the Courtyard by Marriott; reception, 6 p.m., Kentucky Museum; dinner, 7 p.m., Kentucky Museum. Saturday's activities include brunch, 9 a.m., Faculty House; campus tour, 11 a.m.; continuing education courses, 2-3:30 p.m.; football tailgating, 3:30 p.m.; WKU vs. Youngstown State, 5:30 p.m., L.T. Smith Stadium.

Focus on Western: Prospective students and their parents will participate in campus preview activities Saturday. The opening ceremony begins at 8 a.m. at Ivan Wilson Fine Arts Center Amphitheater followed by informational sessions, campus tours and an academic expo. Participants will attend the President's Festival on the Green at 3 on the Downing University Center South Lawn prior to the WKU football game.
A second Focus on Western day is scheduled for Nov. 2.

Parents Weekend: Parents of current students will visit campus for this annual event. Friday's activities include a women's soccer game, 7 p.m., WKU Soccer Complex; a coffee house, 8 p.m., Downing University Center, fourth floor. Saturday's activities include residence hall receptions, noon-1 p.m.; student presentation, 1 p.m., Downing University Center Theater; Parents Association meeting, 2 p.m., Downing University Center, room 340; President's Festival on the Green, 3 p.m., South Lawn; football game, 5:30 p.m., Smith Stadium.
Parents Weekend concludes with a women's soccer game at 2 p.m. Sunday.
