WKU Employee Named
Psychologist Of TheYear
Bowling Green, Ky. - Dr. Ronald Stephens, director of Western Kentucky University's Elizabethown/Fort Knox Center, was recently honored by the Kentucky Psychological Association.
Dr. Stephens was recognized as the Central/Western Kentucky Region Psychologist of the Year at the group's annual conference in Lexington for his distinguished career in providing clinical services, conducting research, administering mental health programs and working as an educator.
After serving in the military, he worked in mental health services and psychiatric hospitals for about 25 years, serving as a part-time faculty member in the WKU psychology department during that time. For the past five years, he has served as director of the WKU center in Elizabethtown/Fort Knox and continues to teach psychology courses there.
