WKU, National City Award
Incentive Scholarships

Bowling Green, Ky. - Western Kentucky University and National City today announced the four recipients of the National City Harman and Potter Incentive Scholarships for 2002.

The four-year renewable tuition scholarships are designated for a graduating senior in each of the four high schools in Bowling Green and Warren County. The scholarships were first awarded in the fall of 1989.

The recipients were recognized at a news conference by WKU President Gary Ransdell and National City President Rick Seadler. They are:

*Megan Elizabeth Jacobs of Warren Central High School. She is the daughter of Joletta Jacobs and James Jacobs of Bowling Green and is undecided on a major.

*Nicole Marie Kane of Warren East High School. She is the daughter of Karen Kane of Smiths Grove and plans to major in nursing.

*Amanda Rochelle Lawrence of Greenwood High School. She is the daughter of Kathy Lawrence of Alvaton and has not decided on a major.

*Darlasue Katrice Roach of Bowling Green High School. She is the daughter of Vernon and Brenda Roach of Bowling Green and plans to major in elementary education.
