Southern Kentucky Regional
Science Fair Saturday
Bowling Green, Ky. - Students from area elementary, middle and high schools compete Saturday in the Southern Kentucky Regional Science Fair.
The event is planned for 8 a.m. to 4 p.m. at the Western Kentucky University's Bowling Green Community College on WKU's South Campus. The regional fair is open to schools in Allen, Barren, Butler, Cumberland Edmonson, Grayson, Green, Hart, Logan, Metcalfe Monroe, Muhlenberg, Ohio, Simpson, Todd and Warren counties.
First- and second-place overall winners in the high school division will advance to the Intel International Science and Engineering Fair May 12-18 in Louisville and will receive $1,000 Ogden Scholarships from WKU.
Third- and fourth-place overall finishers in the high school division will be alternates to the Intel fair and will receive $500 Ogden Scholarships from WKU.
Overall awards also will be presented in middle and elementary school divisions. Awards also will be presented in individual categories for each division.
