April Is Government Month At
Western Kentucky University
Bowling Green, Ky. -Sen. Mitch McConnell will help kick off Department of Government Month activities next week at Western Kentucky University.
McConnell, Bowling Green Mayor Sandy Jones and Warren County Judge-Executive Mike Buchanon will meet with students and faculty April 2 and will proclaim April \"Department of Government Month." The event will begin at 3:30 p.m. Tuesday at the government department on Grise Hall's third floor.
Sen. McConnell, R-Ky., wants to talk with students about congressional activities, pending legislation and the war on terrorism, said Dr. Saundra Ardrey, department head.
"The political process is such an integral part of our daily lives, especially here in the United States since the Sept. 11 event and because of the presidential election," Dr. Ardrey said.
