WKU Dairy Farm Open House

Bowling Green, Ky. - Western Kentucky University's Agriculture Department will have an open house at its dairy farm June 29.

The June Dairy Month Open House will be held at the dairy barn at the WKU Agricultural Research and Education Complex off Nashville Road.

The open house will feature activities for professional dairy farmers from 1 p.m. to 5:30 p.m. and the general public from 3:30 p.m. to 6:30 p.m.

Dairy farmers will have an opportunity to see the new milking parlor, new forage equipment, intensive grazing and other WKU research projects.

Activities for the public include watching a cow milking contest; viewing the new milking parlor, farm equipment and newborn calves; and sampling milk, ice cream and other dairy treats.
