Pride Elected Phi Delta Theta's
President
Bowling Green, Ky. - Charley Pride, director of Student Activities and Organizations at Western Kentucky University, has been elected 59th president of the Phi Delta Theta International Fraternity.
Pride was elected June 29 at the fraternity's 74th biennial convention at the Royal York Hotel in Toronto. He has served on the Phi Delta Theta board of directors since 1996.
The fraternity, which has headquarters in Oxford, Ohio, has more than 170 chapters and colonies, 100 alumni clubs and more than 200,000 members in the United States and Canada.
Pride received his bachelor's ('87), master's ('89) and specialist ('96) degrees from Western. He is pursuing his doctorate from the University of Louisville.
Pride lives in Bowling Green with his wife, Julie, and two children, Will and Emily.
