WKU, South Central Bank Honor
29 High School Seniors
Bowling Green, Ky. - Western Kentucky University and South Central Bank on Tuesday honored 29 high school seniors from Barren and Monroe counties for their academic achievements.
The students received certificates and scholarship offers during the annual High School Honors Luncheon. All of the students qualify for at least a full-tuition Regents Scholarship at WKU.
As a group, the students had an average grade-point average of 3.907 and an average ACT score of 27.93. The group included 18 Kentucky Governor's Scholars and one National Merit Semifinalist.
The students honored included:
From Barren County High School: Robert Bauer, Meghan Dowdy, Meaghan Jeffcoat, Meagan Nunn, Jamie Resch, Charlie Thomas, Whitney Tuner and Mica Wood.
From Caverna High School: Andrew Davis and Sheena Moran.
From Glasgow Christian Academy: Sarah Ritchie.
From Glasgow High School: Brandi Berryman, Ty Bowles, Chuck Davis, Melodye Edwards, Marcia Eisenstein, LaTaya Franklin, Will Nash, Katie Nation, Rachel Perkins, Kristi Pierce, Deepa Reddy, Steven Scott, Melissa Shields and Brice Wood.
From Monroe County High School: Nick Denton, Michael Holcomb, Jill Stinson and Hilary Yokley.
