WKU Public Relations Symposium
Set For Thursday
Bowling Green, Ky. - Western Kentucky University’s School of Journalism and Broadcasting will host a public relations symposium “Challenges and Choices” on Thursday.
The symposium, organized by WKU’s public relations program, serves as a marketplace of ideas between working professionals and students.
Thursday’s event, scheduled for the Faculty House and Garrett Conference Center room 201, will begin at 9:30 a.m.
Among the sessions are:
11 a.m.: “Job Search Strategies” with Carol White of WKU Career Services; and “Things they didn’t teach in Journalism School” by WKU graduate Heather Watt, public relations liaison for the Girl Scouts of Kentuckiana.
3 p.m.: Career wardrobe fashion show by Melanie Hill, Dillard's "Women’s World" manager.
4 p.m.: Resume writing workshop by faculty members Bob Adams and Harry Allen.
