Honored At CASE-III

Bowling Green, Ky. - The Division of Institutional Advancement at Western Kentucky University received several honors at the District III meeting of the Council for the Advancement and Support of Education.

WKU's Development program received a grand award in Educational Fund-Raising Projects for its Major Gifts Fund-Raising Program and an award of excellence in total Educational Fund-Raising Program.

Bob Skipper, director of Media Relations, received an award of excellence in photography while the WKU Alumni Association received a special merit award for Overall Alumni Relations Program.

"Peer recognition is one of the highest honors professionals in the field of institutional advancement can receive," said Tom Hiles, vice president for Institutional Advancement at Western. "This is just one indication of the caliber of work that is being performed in our division."

CASE-III includes all of the southeastern United States. The awards were presented during the organization's annual conference in Atlanta Feb. 3-6.
