August 02, 2002 Bids For WKU Science Complex Five construction bids were submitted. There were: D.W. Wilburn Inc. of Lexington, $14,527,000; Alliance Corp. of Glasgow, $14,831,400; Ray Bell Construction of Brentwood, Tenn., $14,835,000; Scott, Murphy, and Daniel LLC of Bowling Green, $14,855,281; and Hardaway Construction of Henderson, $16,699,000. Groundbreaking for the complex, which has a total estimated cost of $20 million, will be Aug. 16 at 8:15 a.m. and will include remarks from Gov. Paul Patton. The 70,000-square-foot building is the first phase of a project that will include the renovation of the north and central wings of Thompson Complex, Snell Hall and Science and Technology Hall.
