WKU Forensics Team Members Earn Five members of the William E. Bivin Forensic Society were among 300 students attending the two-week camp, which included a debate tournament. Jennifer Purcell, a sophomore from Lewisville, Texas, was named top speaker and scored 118 of a possible 120 points in the four-round tournament. Stacy Bernaugh, a Bowling Green senior, was second-place speaker with 116 points while Jenny Corum, an Auburn sophomore, finished fourth with 112 points. Purcell and Bernaugh were debate partners during the tournament and finished with a 3-1 record. Reagan Gibson, a senior from Evansville, Ind., teamed with a Vermont student and finished the debate tournament among the top 10 teams with a 3-1 record. With a tradition of national and international debate championships, Western's program is recognized among the nation's best.
