WKU Hosting Girls In Science Day
April 27

Bowling Green, Ky. - About 100 fifth- to eighth-grade girls will be on the Western Kentucky University campus April 27 for the first Girls in Science Day.

The event, sponsored by WISE@WKU (Women in Science and Engineering at WKU) will have opening and closing ceremonies at Van Meter Auditorium. Students from Bowling Green and Warren County schools have been invited, according to Stacy Wilson, associate professor of electrical engineering.

Girls in Science Day, which begins at 8 a.m., will feature a variety of hands-on classes including making polymers, emergency fish kill, sports psychology, dirt can take care of your dirty work, geometric connections, physics, civil engineering, electrical engineering and geology.
