Events Changed Following Death Of
Former Chief Justice

Bowling Green, Ky. - Two events at Western Kentucky University have been changed following the death of former Kentucky Chief Justice Robert F. Stephens.

Gov. Paul Patton had been scheduled to speak at the 2002 Global Automotive Conference at noon Tuesday. State Sen. Brett Guthrie, WKU President Gary Ransdell and Jamey Likens of Toyota will deliver the keynote remarks.

The Global Automotive Conference will take place at the Sloan Convention Center in Bowling Green. The conference is coordinated by WKU's Office of Global Business and Entrepreneurship. More information is available at www.gac.ky.net.

The Supreme Court of Kentucky will shorten its visit to campus this week. Justices will not hold court on Wednesday in order to attend Stephens' funeral. The court will hear oral arguments in three cases on Thursday as scheduled, beginning at 9 a.m. in the Garrett Conference Center Ballroom.
