WKU'S Annual Broadcast Day
Set For April 15

Bowling Green, Ky. - Three Western Kentucky University alumni will return to campus April 15 for the annual Broadcast Day.

The School of Journalism and Broadcasting event is geared toward students in broadcast news but is open to everyone.

The Broadcast Day schedule follows:

9:05-9:55 a.m.: Sean Laflin, WKU graduate and producer for WSMV-TV in Nashville, "The Challenges of Producing a Television Newscast," Garrett Conference Center, room 100

10:10-11 a.m.: Mike Cutler, news director for WTVF-TV in Nashville, "Job Prospects and What You Need to Know"; Scott Couch, WKU graduate and anchor/reporter for WTVF, "The Duties as a Reporter/Anchor," Garrett Conference Center, room 100

11:15 a.m.-12:05 p.m.: Cutler and Couch, Garrett Conference Center, room 100

4-5:15 p.m.: Bruce Carter, WKU graduate and news director for WLEX-TV in Lexington, "News is a Business: How to build a successful newscast and survive the ratings wars," Ivan Wilson Fine Arts Center, room 137.
