Golden Anniversary Club
To Honor Class Of 1951
Bowling Green, Ky. - The Western Kentucky University
Class of 1951 will be inducted into the Golden Anniversary Club
at the annual reunion Sept. 21 and 22.
The reunion begins Friday, Sept. 21, at the Courtyard by Marriott,
where guests can register between 2 p.m. and 5 p.m. and visit
with former classmates and friends. The festivities kick off
at 6 that evening with a reception and dinner at the Kentucky
Building where reunion participants will view the 2001 Golden
Anniversary Club exhibit and enjoy musical favorites from David
"Doc" Livingston ('51) and friends.
The induction ceremony is Saturday, Sept. 22, at the annual brunch
that begins at 9 a.m. at the Faculty House. WKU President Gary
Ransdell will deliver the message and Greg Colson, professional
pianist, will provide entertainment.
After the brunch, reunion participants will tour Western's campus
and prepare for the football game where WKU will take on Southwest
Missouri State at 1:30 p.m. in L.T. Smith Stadium.
