WKU'S Deere Completes Doping Control Certification
Bowling Green, Ky. - Randy Deere, associate professor
in the Department of Physical Education and Recreation at Western
Kentucky University, has successfully completed all requirements
for certification as a doping control officer by the United States
Anti-Doping Agency (USADA).
The U.S. Anti-Doping Agency (USADA) is dedicated to eliminating
the practice of doping in sports, including U.S. Olympic, Pan
American and Paralympic athletes. USADA is the independent anti-doping
agency for Olympic Sports in the United States, and is responsible
for managing the testing and adjudication process for the athletes.
Dr. Deere will be utilized as a support doping control officer
at events and for out of competition tests.
