Brandenburg Senior Crowned
WKU Homecoming Queen

Bowling Green, Ky. - Katie Staples, a senior from Brandenburg, was crowned Western Kentucky University's Homecoming queen on Saturday.

Staples, the daughter of Tony and Kathy Staples, was honored at halftime of the Homecoming football game between WKU and McNeese State.

Staples, a public relations and agriculture major, was sponsored by Kappa Delta sorority and Kappa Alpha fraternity. She was one of 15 candidates competing for Homecoming queen.
