October 19, 2001  Bowling Green, Ky. - Western Kentucky University’ Environmental Health and Safety Department and the Bowling Green Fire Department are sponsoring fire prevention awareness training Oct. 23 and 24. The training will include a tent filled with non-toxic smoke to demonstrate how to escape from a smoke-filled environment; fire extinguisher and thermal imaging camera demonstrations; fire truck tours and fire and smoke alarm displays. The activities will take place on the lawn of the Downing University Center from 10 a.m. to 5:15 p.m. on Oct. 23 and 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. Oct. 24.
