WKU School Of Journalism And
Broadcasting To Honor Six

Bowling Green, Ky. - Six media professionals will be honored Friday night by Western Kentucky University's School of Journalism and Broadcasting.

The sixth annual awards ceremony begins at 7 p.m. Friday at Garrett Conference Center, room 100. This year's recipients are:

Advertising: Ken Wilson, management partner, The Buntin Group, Nashville

Broadcast journalism: John Boel, anchor, WLKY-TV Channel 32, Louisville
Broadcasting: Bryan Staples, photojournalist and investigative producer, WTVF News Channel 5, Nashville

Print journalism: Ray Moscowitz, newspaper consultant, journalism instructor and freelance writer, Fort Wayne, Ind.

Public relations: Denise Page Pope, director, philanthropic development, St. John's Hospital, Springfield, Ill.

Visual journalism: Ed Reinke, photojournalist, The Associated Press, Louisville.

For reservations, contact the School of Journalism and Broadcasting at (270) 745-4143. Cost is $35. The reservation deadline is noon Wednesday.

The annual practitioner awards recognize media professionals based in Kentucky or a state that borders Kentucky: Illinois, Indiana, Missouri, Ohio, Tennessee, Virginia and West Virginia.
